SMOKE: Cities, time to step up

Thank you, Margie Skantel, for your letter on smoking.

My daughter likes to go to the local clubs to dance; she doesn’t drink or smoke. Recently she became very ill after going to one of the clubs. We thought it was the flu. It was an allergy to cigarette smoke.

I wrote to one of our senators (James Risch). He wrote back that it was a local issue and would have to be handled as a local matter.

Now they can come across the border from Washington because the laws against smoking in public places are so strict in Washington.

Where are you, City Council, or are you part of the “good ole boys” in Idaho? This matter is not going away.
