CAUCUS: Or is that 'CIRCUS?'
In response to Kellie Palm and Cynthia Kirkley, I wholeheartedly agree with their views on the 2012 Circus (Caucus). It just baffles me as to why the powers that be would think that this display of stupidity would somehow be a desirable way to encourage Republicans to get out and vote.
First of all, don’t they realize how many people were eliminated from voting? You have your senior citizens, absentee ballot voters, young families with children and military. My husband and I arrived approximately 4 p.m. and stayed until around 11 p.m. The sad part is that it accomplished absolutely nothing. We listened to the bloviating for seven hours and were guided around like cattle.
It seems to me that in such critical times and the necessity of getting everyone out to vote they did everything they could to sabotage that possibility.
Boise announced that Romney had won the majority of the vote for the state and the election was basically over around 7 p.m. So what was the purpose of continuing this charade?
No disrespect intended for Cynthia, but I would never change parties. I will stay and fight these fools. Heaven forbid we have to go through this again in 2016, and I will have to be put through these asinine procedures again. I will, because no one will take my right to vote away from me.
