SPORTS: Prairie gets a shout-out

Enjoyed your write up in Sunday’s paper regarding the 52nd North Idaho Sports Banquet. It was a great night, with great speakers, and many people were honored for their accomplishments over the last year.

One award was omitted from the results published in Sunday’s paper.

The award for Coach of the Year Female Sports (3A – 1A) was won by Lori Mader, Prairie basketball, but did not make it in the paper.

This is the same team that was overlooked a couple of months ago when they won the girls A1 state basketball title.

The Cd’A Press reported the Cd’A High School girl’s basketball team had the most state championships, nine.

Well, they are tied with Prairie girls, and actually the Prairie girls have held the title for around five hours longer than the Viking girls.
