LOCAL: Praise for paper, people

Thank you for being such a tremendous LOCAL newspaper. I have never seen one that, while doing a good job on the national news level, has covered the local news so comprehensively. Sports, local happenings and general news stories are excellent. And then the various extra sections — business, real estate specials, medicine, etc., are all very well done and so informative.

I have been especially interested in the new Mining and Timber edition. I read every page, and even the ads are knowledgeable, seeing what people in the community are doing. I was a lifelong resident of Spokane until moving here 17 years ago and am very interested in all that happens in both places.

I wonder if many of our citizens are truly familiar with how significant a role this area plays in the national scope of things? Products that are made here, natural resources that come from here, national figures who either come from here or move here. We are truly a very significant part of the national scene.

So many of the business people here are involved with both their time and resources which makes it yet another reason that it is a great place to live. I say, “Thanks to each one of you.”

And then add to this the fact that it is the most all-around beautiful place to live in this whole world, in my opinion.

Thank you for what you are doing, and keep up the good work.
