Ruth Miller, 90

Ruth Annette Neel Miller, born 08-03-1923, in Laredo, Texas, to Culbertson Davis Neel and Bessie Angelina Mann Neel, left this world on September 28, 2013, at Garden Plaza in Post Falls, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Josephine Neel Ligarde, and her nephew, Richard Honore' Ligarde. Her loving husband of more than fifty years, Lt. Col. John H. Miller, left her in our charge on December 10, 2010. In life, she served as a volunteer nurse during WWII in Texas and was the executive administrator to the Dean of Student Life at the University of Texas until meeting her beloved John. They were married in Austin, and while serving in the United States Air Force, traveled together throughout the United States. She faithfully kept the home fires burning while he served three tours in Viet Nam. They are undoubtedly reunited in a better place where there are no wars and no waiting. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to www.beaglefreedomproject.org and/or Kootenai Humane Society.Funeral services will be held wed Oct 2, 2013 at 1:00 pm at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene with burial to follow at Forest Cemetery, Coeur d'Alene.
