Chuck Walker, 49

| September 28, 2013 9:00 PM

WALKER, Chuck (Charles) Leon, 49, went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2013, in Coeur d’Alene as a result of medical complications. Chuck was born Oct. 14, 1963 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to Dean and Mabel Walker. Chuck was a true woodsman and was exceptionally talented at wood cutting and logging practices. He was also an expert concrete finisher, experienced commercial truck driver, and great general repair person. Chuck was highly involved in his church, Heart of the City, and participated in local and international outreach activities. Chuck was a member of several mission outreach trips to Haiti. Chuck is survived by his wife Donna, his mother Mabel, his sister Wanda Jean (Walker), stepson Larry Castro, and stepson Christopher Castro. Chuck was cremated and his remains dispersed in the hills around Coeur d’Alene: the hills he loved, worked in, and recreated in. A memorial luncheon commemorating his life was held at Hunter’s restaurant in Post Falls, ID on Sept. 21 and was well attended by family and close friends. Chuck’s physical strength was only matched by the strength of his Christian witness. Chuck’s presence among us is dearly missed.
