STREETS: Appeal for surface repair

| September 25, 2013 9:00 PM

Our streets, Frazier Drive and Dundee, were “chip-sealed” this summer. The contractor the city used for this resurfacing did a poor job. We wish to file a complaint with the mayor’s office to fix this problem.

Every time residents walk or drive on the streets, the oil and gravel stick to the tires, shoes and even animal paws. We did not ask for this mess as the oil/gravel is then left on the driveways, garage floors and is tracked into our homes (on our hardwood floors, carpets and tile).

Some of the streets in our area received asphalt paving by the city of Post Falls while we received chip-sealing. My question is, why didn’t we get the same consideration? We pay the same taxes!
