POST FALLS - Timmy Mueller scored four goals - all on assists from Roberto Esquivel - to lead the Post Falls Trojans past the Coeur d'Alene Vikings 4-3 in a 5A Inland Empire League boys soccer match on Tuesday at Post Falls High.

"We started off a little slow and they scored on a defensive mistake early," Post Falls coach Gabe Lawson said. "We made an adjustment to get Roberto closer to Timmy at halftime and they had a field day. Between them, it was the Timmy and Roberto show today. They dominated the attack today, and it was impressive to watch. Coeur d'Alene refused to go away and kept fighting."

Post Falls (5-2-1, 2-1) hosts Sandpoint on Saturday.

Lane Thompson had two assists for Coeur d'Alene (5-1-2, 1-1-1), which travels to Sandpoint on Thursday.

"We were definitely disappointed with the result today," Coeur d'Alene coach Jeff Lake said. "To give up four crossing goals is not good. Timmy Mueller had an outstanding game. He's legit."
