Helen Ruth Weir, 93

Helen Ruth Weir passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of North Idaho on September 20, 2013. She was born February 2,1920 to Rosalie and Sherman Waters in Harloton, MT. She attended Western Montana State College in Dillon, MT and later graduated from Kinman Business School in Spokane , WA. Helen married James Weir of Roundup, MT in 1947. They made their home in Helena, MT where they both retired from the Helena School District in 1979. Jim and Helen enjoyed many years of retirement together. They spent winters in Yuma,AZ and did extensive traveling. They traveled to Scotland and England when they were in their 80’s. They also loved attending as many of their grandsons’ games as they could. Helen moved to Coeur d’ Alene ,ID in 2006 after Jims death to be near her daughter. She resided at Northstar Retirement Community for almost 8 yrs. She loved the staff and the many friendships she made there. She is survived by her daughter, Christine Wolfe of Hayden, grandsons Ben (Sarah) of St. Louis Park, MN, Jake Wolfe of Eugene, OR, and Joe Wolfe, Hayden, and great grandson Dylan Wolfe of Cd’A. Helen is also survived by a nephew, John McGuin (Linda) of Newark, DE, nephew Doug Wold(Linda) of Polson, MT,nieces Georgia Perecich,Yakima,WA, Cathy Pearson, Tacoma,WA and nephew Jim Sankovich, Tacoma,WA.
