| September 23, 2013 2:35 PM

Betty Stansell, age 72, of Hayden, ID passed on September 20, 2013 with family and friends at her side. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, thrift-store shopping, and various arts and crafts. Betty worked in the health-care system for 35 years. She then opened an adult assisted living service out of her home for 5 years, before retiring to enjoy life. During her retirement years, Betty spent time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially her mini me, Jaden Smalley. Jaden was her shadow, where one went the other followed. There were many things she loved, but none as much as her family. Betty and her husband Dale traveled together, relishing in each other’s company while visiting various places in the States. She was preceded in death by her parents Lillian and Merle Linscott. She is survived by her husband Dale Stansel of 35 years, her brothers and sisters-Frank and Carol Linscott, Yvon and Marvin Farley, Belva Pierce, Robert and Elaine Linscott, by her children Cindy Wright, Jody and Tony Szeluga, Marchelle and Peter Powell, and Carol Rishel, by her 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and lastly her best-friend Shirley. She was a remarkable woman and was loved in life. Her passing has created a terrible sadness amongst her loved ones and will be forever missed. “And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” Revelation 14:13. There will be a celebration of life with family and friends on 28 September 2013 from 1pm-3pm at the Stansell house.
