Gertrude G. LeGore, 84, passed away September 12,2013 from renal failure. Gertrude was born

January 31, 1929 in Denver, CO.When she was 12, her family moved to Coeur d'Alene, living in a wall

tent along the river in the Fort Grounds before moving to a home on 16th 51. Gertrude attended Coeur d'Alene High School. She married Charles D. (Don) Ford in 1946. They had six children, Mary, JoAnn, Helen, Terri, Doug and James, raising them in the Fort Grounds. They divorced in 1973. Gertrude married the love of her life, George W. LeGore, in 1974. They led a happy life until his death more than 20 years later. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Milton and Lillian (McCauley) Cameron, sisters Naomi Keiffer and Patricia Bailey, brothers Milton and Bob Cameron, son Jimmy, granddaughter Debbie Fritze, grandson Chad Mathis, a baby grandson and sons-in-law Rick Mathis and Don Burgess. Survivors include her children, Mary Grant (Cecil), JoAnn Glaser, Helen Johnson (Mike), Terri Mathis, and Doug Ford (Sandra); grandchildren Jeff and Amie Magnuson (Jason), Jennifer and Matthew Glaser, James "Bosco" (Jenell) and Cameron (Vicki) Johnson, Travis (Hillary) and Brook Mathis, and Tyler Ford (Heather). She also leaves behind numerous great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Gertrude was an extraordinary Certified Nursing Assistant at Pinewood Care Center for more than 25 years. She was a 50+ year member of Carnation Rebekah Lodge No. 95 and The First Christian Church. She loved fishing, gardening, spending time with her family, and her dogs. At her request, there will be no service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho or any children's charity or dog rescue.LE
