Pink Party event is tonight

The Pink Party fundraiser will take place tonight from 6-9 p.m. at Avondale Golf Club's Water Hazard Restaurant, 10745 Avondale Loop, Hayden Lake.

Proceeds from the silent auction, wine and spirit tasting, and raffle will help pay for breast cancer treatment for Marjorie Valencia, of Hayden.

Valencia and her husband, Dave, will be at the event discussing their experiences and findings as they have advocated for themselves to find resources and information while dealing with a serious, financially-crippling illness.

Donations of $20 per person are requested for those who attend the Pink Party.

Cd'A man hurt in Highway 41 crash

A 46-year-old Coeur d'Alene man was injured during a crash while driving southbound on Highway 41 north of Spirit Lake on Tuesday night.

According to Idaho State Police, David W. Ezzell left the roadway at 11:28 p.m. at milepost 22 in a 2002 Nissan Sentra and went down an embankment. He then drove up a hill and hit a jersey barrier. Air bags were deployed.

Ezzell was in stable condition at Kootenai Health on Wednesday morning. He was wearing his seat belt during the crash.
