RATHDRUM: Tribute from happy resident

What a great community Rathdrum is to live in! I want to address how supportive everyone is for our events. First, Rathdrum Days. What a great weekend! With only five weeks to put it together it was one of the best ever! Everyone, Chamber, City, Park and Rec, Lakeland School District, Lions Club and volunteers came together once again. We had a record amount of vendors and had GREAT entertainment!

Second, the Rathdrum Relay for Life. Wow! Even with getting rained out at midnight we still made our goal of $30,000! Once again this was done by community volunteers, Lakeland School District and sponsorships from local businesses (Spirit Lake, Athol & Blanchard too). We also had US Sen. Crapo attend our opening ceremony and start the Survivor Lap. Another wow! Thank you Senator!

I have had the privilege to work/volunteer in this community for several years and it always amazes me what can came from everyone coming together. Please be aware of ALL your local events, causes and the great things there is to do in our areas. What a great place to live, work and raise our children! We are truly blessed!
