HEADLINE: Sex doesn't sell

| September 18, 2013 11:02 PM

I was sickened by your headline “Sex and the City (Government)” as I realized the article was about human rights and discrimination. The City Council is to be commended for their passage of the anti-discrimination law. They did what was morally right. The protesters do not earn merit for their concerns simply because they are a loud voice. Many hide behind “religion.” The God I understand is accepting and loving, even of these protesters.

Discrimination based on sexual orientation reminds me of the short time it has been since the target of such discrimination was “people of color.” The “Mayoral Matters” articles are an excellent forum to learn about the candidates. I hope The Press will find the high road and leave sensational headlines to the tabloids.
