WGA to hold grant forum for nonprofits

| September 17, 2013 9:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - The Women's Gift Alliance will hold a Grantees' Forum Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library.

The purpose of the forum will be to provide information and answer questions from nonprofits and charitable organizations interested in applying for grant funding from the Women's Gift Alliance for 2014.

WGA, formed in 2004, provides a means for women in Kootenai County to pool their talents and resources and give meaningful financial support to a broad range of charitable, cultural and educational projects within the community.

Since its inception, the members of WGA have contributed more than $800,000, nearly half distributed in the form of large, pooled grants ranging from $18,250 to $26,000 each. WGA pooled grants are directed toward projects that can make a significant impact in the community, demonstrating one or more of the following criteria: Create a bold new venture; address a significant community need; foster collaboration and partnerships; and enrich the fabric of our community.

The Grantees' Forum is open to all qualified nonprofit charitable organizations in Kootenai County. Info: online www.wgakc.org or by email wgiftkc@gmail.com
