Norman G. Benson, 79

Norman G. Benson age 79 of Hayden passed away September 13, 2013. He was born May 30, 1934 to Elmer and Ester (Lundeen) Benson in Coeurd’Alene, Idaho. Norman lived and attended schools in Coeur d’Alene. He logged and drove heavy equipment for Northwest Timber for 38 years. Norman married Gladys Call May 20, 1952 and they had 6 sons. He loved hunting and fishing, and really loved camping in his motor home with his friends and Post Falls Eagles camper club. Norman was a member of Post Falls Eagles Aerie 3682 and duel at Hayden Eagles Aerie 4080. Norm was preceded in death by his 3 brothers and their spouses, Carl(Ida) Coeur d’Alene, Jack(Maxine) Montana, Tom Benson his sister June(Jerry) MigotaCoeur d’Alene and his grandson Mark Benson Post Falls. Norm is survived by his wife Gladys, Brother Harold of Worley, Sister Marylin Lenz of Post Falls, His Sons Richard(Darlene) of Spokane, Stan(Virginia) of Coeur d’Alene, Pat of Coeur d’Alene, Mike of Florida, Ken(Sherry) of Post Falls, Bill(Jennifer) of Post Falls, a foster son Dave(Penny) Oliver of Georgia, His 10 Grandchildren: Patrick, Elmer, Matt, Vic, Payton, Owen, Christine, Melissa Benson, Marie Smith, Amanda Tanner and 11 Great Grandchildren, 21 nieces and nephews. Norm and Gladys had resided in their home in Hayden for 54 years. A viewing will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday September 18th at Yates Funeral Home Coeur d’Alene Chapel.
