Fleischman seeks Post Falls council seat

POST FALLS - Christi Fleischman is making a run for Post Falls City Council.

Fleischman and Jayson Cornwell are challenging Betty Ann Henderson for seat 4.

If elected, Fleischman said she will focus on economic growth, environmental integrity, safety and tourism development.

Fleischman said her business and management experience and community involvement would be a valuable asset on the council. She said she has a reputation for being a creative problem solver with the ability to raise funds and improve morale.

She is current co-owner of Knock Marketing and Design. The business received the Best Advertising Agency award in the North Idaho Business Journal. She also received recognition through the publication as being among the top 30 business professionals younger than 40 years old twice.

She managed a staff of 68 while running one of the top-producing Nordstrom stores in the nation.

Fleischman has also been the project manager for the Post Falls tourism ad campaign for the past year. She is a Post Falls Rotarian, Post Falls Chamber of Commerce member, a Post Falls Local Issues Committee member through the chamber and is on the Post Falls Library Foundation board.

Fleischman has served on the board for Kootenai County Young Professionals. She has volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County, Post Falls Parks and Recreation Department, Inland Northwest SIDS Foundation, Real Life Ministries Thrift Store and worked on the Benches for Bus Stops project in collaboration with the Coeur d'Alene Tribe.
