Antoniette Salerno

Salerno, Antoniette, 99, born to Italian immigrants; Luigi and Maria Fachenti on Friday, June 13, 1914 in Kenosha, Wis. Antoniette was the fourth of eight children to come to the family and the last child to leave the world. She met Sam in grade school and married in 1935. They started their family of Leonard and Patricia in Wis. and then headed west to California.

Sam and Toni moved to Idaho in 1976, to be closer to Pat and her family. Sam passed in 1979. Toni never looked again stating: “I’ve had the best . . ”. Toni enjoyed gambling, cooking, playing cards, listening to music and watching Mariners baseball. Toni remained independent living alone and caring for herself well into her 98th year.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam, son Leonard, Son-in-Law, Ron Sims, and all of her siblings. Toni is survived by Pat, her sons: Ken and wife Sue, Keith and wife Lorinda, Kevin and wife Heather. Grandchildren include; Debbie, Kelly, Laura, Kristen, Levi, Kristopher, Brittany, Paiten,Nikele, Chaese, Kortney, and Sterling. Numerous nieces and nephews and four great-great grandchildren join us in missing Toni.

The Family wishes to recognize the Hospice House of North Idaho with any gifts in honor of Tonie’s long and full life.
