'Damn Yankees' starts next week

The curtain goes up on Lake City Playhouse's production of "Damn Yankees" next week, and the Kootenai County Democrats have bought the house out for the first performance on Sept. 12.

The show marks the start of the community theater's new season, and it's the third year the Democrats have sponsored this event.

The evening will start at 6 p.m. with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar on the lawn outside the theater at 1320 E. Garden Ave., Coeur d'Alene.

The performance begins at 7:30.
