RACES: Cheers to Coeur d'Alene

On behalf of everyone associated with the 2013 Coeur d’Alene Diamond Cup, we want to thank the Coeur d’Alene Press for the outstanding and very positive coverage the event received.

Your writers Tom Hasslinger, Jeff Selle and Devin Heilman covered the racing like veteran hydro writers and nailed it. Your photographers were outstanding, too.

Few knew how many months of struggle Doug Miller and his team experienced to make the Diamond Cup a reality and it is gratifying to see the community realizing what a positive impact an event like the Diamond Cup can have.

From my post as PA announcer on the start/finish tower, I could feel the positive energy and enthusiasm from the big crowd on the shoreline and it made for a great weekend.

Our H1 Unlimited Series owners, drivers and officials loved everything about your beautiful city and we are very excited that indications are that we will be back in 2014.

Thank you Coeur d’Alene for the tremendous hospitality and again to the Press for the outstanding coverage.
