Cardinals finish 2-2 at Salt Lake tourney

SALT LAKE CITY - In the first match of the day, NIC beat Utah State-Eastern 25-17, 25-15, 25-17, then lost to 16th ranked Western Wyoming 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16 on Saturday at the Crystal Inn Invitational at Salt Lake Community College to finish their season-opening tournament 2-2.

NIC returns to action on Friday against Miami-Dade and Hutchinson (Kan.) in the Starr Corporation Invitational in Twin Falls.
