COLUMN: A voice for the animals

Thanks to Tony Mangan for his “My Turn” article in the paper Oct. 23. It is very embarrassing for us to live in a state that refuses to properly protect abused animals. We have always been conservative leaning people, but we are questioning why our legislators and governor are unwilling to address this problem. How does the money flow (to and from) on this issue? Who are they protecting?
