HYDROS: Miller going in reverse
To Mr. Doug Miller and the Coeur d’Alene Diamond Cup LLC, et al:
Since when did a private, for-profit promotion have the right to limit public access to our lake and our roadways, and employ the Sheriff’s Office to threaten the use and enjoyment of private areas such as docks?
Your whiny-butt complaint that only one out of four spectators was actually forced to pay YOU for the privilege of sitting on a public beach reeks of special connections with the local government to say the least. And to presume that all the local businesses are somehow lucky to have shared the benefits of this spectacle and therefore should be chastised for not ponying up “their fair share” is equal BS.
That you might have lost money on your business venture is of nobody’s concern but yours; to expect public money to help put on a private promotion is stealing. And remember the folks with private frontage whose enjoyment of their property that weekend did not necessarily coincide with your noisy and disruptive pipe dream.
