CORNWELL: Good man for Post Falls
It is my honor and privilege to endorse Jayson L. Cornwell for Post Falls City Council. I served with Mr. Cornwell in the 141st Security Forces out of Fairchild Air Force Base for several years. In that time we deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, for seven months as co-workers and friends. I was able to see firsthand how professional, competent and safely he was able to take charge of more than 50 highly trained military police entrusted with the safety of more than 2,500 military and civilian lives during times of crisis and emergencies.
I am also well versed in the education he received from the Organizational Leadership Department of Gonzaga University’s master’s degree program. Having graduated from the same program, I can attest that the level of rigor, dedication, and compassion that is necessary to successfully complete the two-year program at the esteemed institution. Gonzaga instills in their students the ability to understand complex leadership roles, high ethical and moral standards, and a dedication to servant leadership. In my opinion, these are the very tools and mind-set that I would expect from an individual tasked to speak for the citizens who proudly vote for Mr. Cornwell.
Mr. Cornwell has demonstrated the determination and drive to successfully assess his long- and short-term goals, establish a detailed plan and employ the necessary skills to achieve those goals. Whether it is planning for his family’s future, the success in his role as a citizen soldier, or as a sworn deputy of the Spokane County Sheriff’s Detention Services, Mr. Cornwell strives to better himself and those around him.
In conclusion, Mr. Cornwell embodies the core values of leadership, education and safety at home, abroad and in his community which he hopes to represent in the coming election.
