Devona Seitz, 91

Devona Elaine Seitz passed away on Nov. 14, 2013, at the age of 91.

Devona was born Devona Frey in Seitzland, Pa. She grew up in New Freedom, Pa., and after World War II moved to Minnesota with her husband, Edward Seitz, who has proceeded her in death. Devona moved to Idaho in the early 1950s with her husband and two young children and lived there until moving to Spokane where she lived until her passing.

Devona spent many years working in the kitchen at Kootenai Memorial Hospital. Devona is survived by four siblings, Norma, Jim, Donald and Joan; two children, Norman Seitz of Anchorage, Alaska, and Linda Canham of Spokane; four grandchildren, Todd, Chad, Angie and Aimee; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Madelyn and Caleb; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 2733 Northwest Blvd., Spokane, WA 99205.
