* Life Care Center of Post Falls adds Dr. Garwick as on-site physician
Life Care Physician Services LLC, a subsidiary of Life Care Centers of America, recently placed Jennifer Garwick, M.D., as an on-site physician at Life Care Center of Post Falls.
Garwick was hired as part of an initiative to place physicians in each of Life Care Centers of America's skilled nursing and rehab centers.
In her new position, Garwick works with the Life Care Center of Post Falls interdisciplinary team, facility medical director and other attending physicians in caring for each patient.
Her presence in the nursing home enhances physician accessibility to patients and families.
She aids in hospital transitions and pharmacy communications, and being on-site allows her to personally respond to medical changes or emergencies in a timely manner.
"I have always enjoyed working with the senior population, especially in terms of focusing on function and quality of life," said Garwick. "I have heard wonderful things from patients and their families in regard to their experiences with Life Care and felt that would be an outstanding team to join."
Garwick most recently served as a hospitalist at Kootenai Health's medical center in Coeur d'Alene.
Prior to that appointment, she was a rural family physician for Kaniksu Health Services out of Bonners Ferry. She also has experience as a physical therapy aide, live-in home care provider and recreation specialist.
Board certified by the American Board of Family Practice, Garwick earned her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 2001. She currently serves the school as part of its clinical faculty.
Originally from Alaska, Garwick currently resides in Hayden, Idaho, with her husband, Stephen, and their two daughters, Adley and Piper.
Life Care Center of Post Falls is located at 460 N. Garden Plaza Court.
* Fink and Hood join Century 21 Beutler and Associates
Scott Fink is a native of Coeur d'Alene and a new Realtor with Century 21 Beutler and Associates. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University and holds a bachelor's degree in political science. Fink's work history includes construction and social work, which he says are "both areas which will aid me in providing great knowledge of the inventory in the area and understanding in dealing with the needs of my clients."

Kelsey Hood, a Coeur d'Alene native, has joined Century 21 Beutler and Associates. Hood will be joining forces with Tina Hood, an agent with 20 years of experience.
