TEACHER: Best can be a bit better

| November 17, 2013 8:00 PM

Congratulations to Jamie Esler for being named teacher of the year. Coeur d’Alene certainly needs good teachers. Seems as though he could use an English teacher to teach him the correct use of pronouns. The article quoted him as saying, “Other teachers that work just as hard as me.” Sorry Mr. Esler, the correct sentence would be “that work just as hard as I do.” Impressionable children are learning incorrect grammar. Too many people use incorrect pronouns; the main offense is using “me” when the pronoun “I” should be used.
