SENTENCE: Man deserved far more

As I started my day Thursday I had no idea it would begin with disgust and disappointment. I am appalled, mortified, outraged, disturbed, furious, heart broken and bewildered at how our judicial system/judge has FAILED.

First line of LOCAL section reads, “Man gets 10 years for child porn.” Let’s not leave out “WITH the option of parole after 13” short months. Not to say he will get it, but there is still that “option.”

There is a lump in my throat as I type with the taste of bile. Those innocent children who were raped and sexually abused will endure a LIFETIME of suffering! This “good man” as his family calls him, will only have to endure maybe 13 months to MAYBE 10 years max! Yes he did not commit the actual act, however, he was just as much part of the horrific acts bestowed upon these children as the perpetrators themselves. Each time this man downloaded another picture he encouraged child rapists all over the world to continue with their sick endeavors. Yet all he gets is a slap on the wrist.

I have three young beautiful children. Two of them are girls under the age of 5. I could not even fathom something like this happening to them and the acts being spewed all over the Internet for the pleasure of sick minds. What happened to protecting our children? Think of this what you want but my children are more to me than the air I breathe.
