FOOD: To all who fed their neighbors

To my Coeur d’Alene Press subscribers, a huge thank you to all who contributed to the Food Drive! I am still in awe of how much we collected. Not that I am biased, but I have the greatest subscribers in the world. You deserve a big round of applause. You dug down deep and helped a person in need. Great job! I truly thank all of you.

I also need to thank the other carriers for all their hard work, and their subscribers for helping us make the Food Drive so successful. Each and every one of you deserve kudos. And there is no way I cannot thank Dan and Jeff and everyone in the office for all their efforts. I may have suggested the Food Drive, but they took it to heart and ran with it. They truly did the hard part. In those two weeks, they collected, weighed, hauled and sorted more than 9,000 pounds of food. They definitely got a good workout.

To the top three contributors, thank you, and be on the lookout for your final reward in the next few weeks.

There are so many families who face hunger every day. It could be your neighbor, a person walking down the street or maybe even a friend. So, instead of buying that candy bar or pop, pick up a couple cans of food and drop them off at the Food Bank. I know they will be able to put it to good use.
