Walter Paiuk, 86

Walter passed away Nov. 12, 2013, in Coeur d’Alene. He was born April 6, 1927, in New York, N.Y., to William and Katrina Paiuk. He is a World War II Vet having served in the Army from 1945 to 1947.

On Aug. 1, 1953, Walter married Phyllis June Henry in Northport, Long Island, N.Y. He worked in aviation for Republic and retired from Northrop Grumman. Walter loved to fly and put together airplane models.

He and Phyllis were active members of Christ the King Lutheran Church where they also volunteered. Walter was also a member of the Model Airplane Club.

Walter is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children, Gary Paiuk of Tacoma, Wash., and Debbie Ecklund of New York City, N.Y. He is also survived by grandson Benjamin (Amber) and great-grandson Van.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815.
