TRUST: Payback due in future elections

There was a time when people “trusted” Barack Obama. One can compare this time with a similar time in your own life. This time was when you put your trust in someone you want to be with. Someone you respect. Someone you look up to. Someone you admire. Someone you want to be associated with.

Each of us put our trust in someone. For many, it is our spouse or partner. Then one day, years later, something happens. An event. A moment in time. A circumstance. An infidelity. Something. And your TRUST, so precious to each of us, is taken from us in an instant. In a twinkling of an eye. “If you like your health-care plan, you can keep your health-care plan, period.” Lies, all lies, and suddenly millions of people who trusted are now betrayed. America and the rest of the world is now witnessing the destruction of an American president. “All the King’s horses and all the King’s men, could not put Humpty Dumpty together again.”

Yes, trust can be regained, but it literally takes years, maybe decades, sometimes never. Many will forget. Many will defend. Many will not care.

But … many more will remember. Many more will not forget. Many more will care. When will we know? We will know November 2014. We will know November 2016. We will know for decades to come. That is “what” bothers Democrats everywhere. Lost trust, lost beliefs and lost votes. Something all of us understand, even though not all of us care.
