Last Mile
I’m on the very last mile,
Only on more mile to go.
Don’t know if it’s to be smooth
Or bumpy….
Just figure it will be kind of
Slow.
Put a smile upon your face,
And a twinkle in your eye,
Give a cheer to your fellow
Seniors as they travel by.
There is no way to escape it.
It is sure to be.
That we travel that same
Last mile… you and me
So fear not my fellow seniors.
Except what is to be.
We must travel that one last mile,
To complete our destiny
I accept my Father in Heaven.
I know he waits for me.
