VETERANS: Assembly of honor and hope

If you were not at Coeur d’Alene High School’s Veterans Day assembly on Friday, you missed it! What you missed was a very well done musical and vocal performance, a fantastic speech by Marlin Hawk on his experiences in Vietnam, and an array of service members representing their branch of the military.

However, what you really missed was a gym full of high school students being attentive and respectful. Your faith would have been renewed in the next generation and you would have left feeling like the future is truly in great hands.

I have many reasons to brag about the students at CHS. But I have to tell you, I could not have been more proud, humbled and honored to be the principal of Coeur d’Alene High School than I was at Friday’s assembly.
