Lloyd T. Smith, 57

Lloyd Thomas Smith, 57, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away November 5, 2013 at his home in Post Falls, Idaho. Lloyd was born December 30, 1955 in Los Angeles, California to Leonard and Shirley (Hoyle) Smith.

Lloyd joined the United States Army as a young man, and after his honorable discharge he moved to Montana. There he lived for a time before moving to Oregon, then finally settled in North Idaho.

Lloyd met Denise Pekich and they were later married in 1985 in Montana.

Lloyd worked as a HVAC installer for most of his life.

Lloyd was very athletic, he enjoyed running, biking, and had gone on an 1800 mile bike trip making a giant loop from North Idaho down to Utah and back through Montana. He also enjoyed the outdoors, reading, raising a vegetable garden, and was a lover of animals, especially his cats and dogs.

Lloyd is survived by Denise Pekich of Post Falls, Idaho; two daughters Suyon Kelley of Colorado, Meggie Pekich of Post Falls, Idaho; seven grandchildren Jaden, Cameron, Reese, Cannon, Skyler, Miya, and Quinn; three brothers Mike Smith, Marty Smith, and Bill Smith. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents.

Lloyd loved his grandchildren, they were the light of his life.

Upon his request no services will be held.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Kootenai County Humane Society at 1600 E Seltice Way, Post Falls, ID 83854.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Bell Tower Funeral Home Post Falls, Idaho.
