ELECTION: Dirty tactics, kids lose

Poor Jeff Ward, he got blindsided in Coeur d’Alene. Now you know how Julie Hunt and Dave Paul felt. Two dedicated parents and community members who care about the future of our schools and the students, displaced by people who have had no involvement or true understanding of our schools. Most people didn’t vote in Post Falls because they knew that things were moving in the right direction.

Sadly, many voted because of the scare tactics implemented by the Reagan Republicans. People believed their lies and why wouldn’t they? If a grandmotherly woman came to your door and told you those lies, lies that she probably really believes to be true thanks to Jeff Ward’s influence, then why would people not believe her? We have watched this exact thing unfold in Coeur d’Alene; now it will happen in Post Falls and the kids will be the ones to suffer.
