HAWKS: Thanks from a friend

I am writing for the second time in eight years to express my pleasure in transporting the Lakeland High School Softball Team to their games away from home. These young ladies are such an inspiration to me. On the bus, they are family. On the field, they play as a unit. Their success as a team is that they see the things that need improvement and work hard to fix. Coach Bevacqua and her assistants are the best around. Our cheerleaders, who are the parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and just friends, come out to see them play.

We finished the season No. 2 in the state. What an accomplishment. To the four graduating seniors, good luck going forward, and to the rest of the team, see you next spring.
