SCHOOLS: A teacher tribute

Hail to my former colleagues in SD 271! You folks are the best! You have been doing more with less and for less for a very long time... And now the state of Idaho and SD 271 want you to do even more for even less!

Teaching is really hard. Anyone that isn’t in a classroom teaching or who has never taught has no idea what you go through on a daily basis. People in this community, in this state, hell! in the nation want to sit back and pontificate about what’s wrong with education and spout their theories about why schools are failing the kids and yada, yada, yada! They couldn’t do what you do!

There are so many factors involved in determining outcomes that you have no control over whatsoever and yet you guys continue to carry on and educate kids, help them to be better. What you do every day is noble. what you do every day is an art, not a science. Thanks for all you do! Dave Eubanks, Tom Hearn, and Christa Hazel all the way!
