GIVES: Library gets a boost

| May 12, 2013 9:00 PM

On May 2, nonprofits in our region were buoyed by the generosity and support of all the folks who took time to go online and contribute during the first state-wide giving campaign, Idaho Gives. The Idaho Nonprofit Center, which organized and promoted this program, exceeded its goal of $500,000 statewide by more than $70,000… a great success in the inaugural year of this event!

Online gifts to the Coeur d’Alene Library Foundation netted $2,985, with numerous new donors participating in the process. We’d like to thank everyone who became a philanthropist on that day — and in particular, the person who anonymously contributed $1,000 in support of our Coeur d’Alene library! We, along with the 1,000 people who visit the library every day, are very grateful for your generosity!

All the gifts received through Idaho Gives help us continue to bring quality services, programs and resources to everyone. Thanks to all those who donated for helping to keep our library at the “coeur” of the community!
