SCHOOLS: Board is off the track

Concerning the school board election: The current trend of bringing in members who know a great deal about running a business but absolutely nothing about schools, education or the needs of the future of children is for the birds and it must stop! Their efforts are extremely flawed, and nobody understands the growing problems except for those in education!

By the time the current, uninformed board and the citizens who follow them figure this out it is going to be too late, the damage will be done. We need people in there who yes, understand business and can control the wasteful spending of the district, but who also understand the needs of the future of education and the children in our district and state. Rumors are flying about the new district office! It is said it is the Taj Mahal of school districts. I even heard it has mahogany flooring! I dont know if this is true or not, but wih all the new secretaries they have hired, maybe they could put one of them to work giving tours to make money for the district! Three levels, much unused space. Could they not occupy one or two levels and RENT OUT CONFERENCE ROOM AND OFFICE SPACE? I will be first in line if tours become available!
