Dorothy Eleanor Morrison passed away peacefully on May 4, 2013, in Reno, Nev., surrounded by loved ones. Born March 18, 1918, in Curtis, Neb., to Alfred and Augusta Dill.

She is survived by her son, Gary Morrison (Renee); daughters, Judith Pitts (Joel) and Dana Whitworth (Alan Cole); 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Duane Morrison; son Bruce Morrison (Trudy) and second husband, John Davis. She outlived her parents and four siblings whom she missed very much.

Dorothy was a unique mix of homemaker mother extraordinaire, beautiful classy hostess and talented carpenter, always game for any adventure! She was a 50-year member of P.E.O., who enjoyed golf, bridge, camping, gardening and crafting.

She will be buried next to her husband, Duane, in their beloved Idaho with a memorial service to follow in July 2013.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hopewell Residential Care and Vista Care for their excellent care in her final year.

“Our mother turned little boys into gentlemen and little girls into angels. We are proud to have called her Mother.” — Gary Morrison
