Brent LaMar Lockhart, 45, was killed in an ATV accident on Saturday, May 4, 2013, near Bayview.

Viewing for friends and family will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 301 Olive Ave., Sandpoint. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at New Life Community Church, 6068 W. Hayden Ave., Rathdrum, with Bill Putman officiating. Burial will be at the Chico Cemetery in Chico, Calif.

Brent was born on Dec. 10, 1967, in Chico to Victor and Barbara (Wilden) Lockhart. He grew up and attended schools in Durham, Calif., and graduated high school in 1985. During his youth he enjoyed playing baseball, football and wrestling.

Early in his career he worked in the western United States as a carpenter, moving to Idaho in the early 1990s. He worked as a land developer, owning and operating both Coeur d’Alene Construction and Inland Northwest Developments.

On Dec. 31, 2007, Brent married Heidi Nuttman at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. They have two sons together and are members of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls. He enjoyed snow skiing, riding ATV’s and wave runners.

He is survived by his wife, Heidi Lockhart of Coeur d’Alene; and their two sons, Walker (4) and Mason (1); mother Barbara (Garey) Weibel of Chico; father Victor Lockhart of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; and one sister, Lori Lockhart of Auburn, Calif.
