CANDIDATES: One must not assume

This is in response to Alvin Cary’s May 3 letter to the editor. OK, somebody tells you to your face they won’t vote for you. Is Mr. Cary so egotistical that he thinks anyone, especially Mr. Regan, should waste his time any further? Since it was probably obvious to Mr. Regan that Cary had his mind made up, there was no point in him asking “why.” Cary appears to want others to have an open mind but apparently his is quite closed!

How does Cary know Mr. Regan speaks before he thinks? Must be nice to be a mind reader… but since I can’t read minds, I don’t know what Cary was talking about.
