ARENA: Bring it on, Cd'A

This letter is in response to the talks of a Sports Arena for Coeur d’Alene. Living in this community for awhile now I have noticed the changes from season to season and how businesses tend to die off in the winter. If there was a gathering place for not only the college but other groups/events, I see Coeur d’Alene increasing to a year-round town. Go skiing during the day and then see a concert at night. As of now there is no place for large events and we are losing huge opportunities for revenues that other towns are seeing on our behalf.

If a community works together as a whole, a project such as this can work and work well. I have seen smaller towns benefit from large stadiums and arenas as it becomes a sense of pride which attracts visitors and new members to the community. We have the need, the desire, now it’s time to make it happen.
