RELIGION: Needs a break from state
In reference to the 501c3 churches that LBJ pulled on the churches in 1954 to muzzle them, so they couldn’t talk about gay rights or abortion, or they would lose their tax break and become taxable entities:
Several churches have attempted to challenge on occasion, only to fall silent, because no one gets a tax break for any charitable gift to any that don’t have the 501c3, Looks like it’s all about money and government control. Didn’t Jesus say to beware of the leaven of the pharacies, that it was hypocrisy and to get out of Babylon (RELIGION)? So where is the separation of church and state?
Didn’t Jesus tell the rich young ruler to sell all he had and give it to the poor, not the church? Works don’t count either? What did He tell them that said, “Didn’t we do all these things in your name?” He said he didn’t know them and to depart from Him. We are to maintain good works, not claim our salvation by them.
Worse yet is that these preachers have to be licensed with the state; therefore they are paying homage to the Czar first, then the Lord. That in itself is a form of hypocrisy, being a servant of the state and claiming to serve the Lord.
