FREEDOM: Tree has much meaning

I want to thank Jeanne Welstrom and Pat Ferriola for taking time to write about the Freedom Tree. Someone decorated it each year and made Cd’A really Christmasy as there were not many decorations downtown back then. I thought I was the only one who cared. It was Fred McMurray’s tree and my husband planted it and we always called it that. I agree with Pat about the parade, too.
