Silverwood Theme Park is planning to hire and train up to 1,200 seasonal positions this year.

Positions range from ride operators, lifeguards, food and beverage workers, housekeepers, retail positions to games employees.

"The park looks for all levels of experience from a limited number of youth seeking that first job to more seasoned job seekers wanting a fun yet hard working environment," according to a press release.

Job fairs are scheduled 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and again next Saturday at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.

Positions from entry level to supervisorial are available and include a training program that prepares each employee "to meet and exceed the expectations of the many different positions and experience levels here at the park."

Silverwood, which covers 216 acres and has more than 65 rides, slides, shows and attractions, opens weekends in May and daily in June.
