Susan 'Sue' Kay Schilke, 53

Susan "Sue" Kay Schilke, 53, of Post Falls, passed away March 13, 2013. She was born to Carrold and Marlene Spitzer on Nov. 6, 1959.

She graduated from Ashley High School in Askley, N.D., in 1978. She then attended the State School of Science in Wahpeton, N.D., where she graduated with an LPN degree. Sue was an LPN until her date of death. She was very passionate about helping others, as well as animals. Sue was a regular attendant of Lake City Community Church in Coeur d'Alene.

Sue loved her family and friends, and the outdoors. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and sharing her creations with family and friends, especially her friend Kelly. She extremely loved playing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her only child, Samantha S. Schilke; her two granddaughters, Andralinn and Tarahlena; and grandson Zackary, all of Coeur d'Alene.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carrold J. Spitzer; sister Sheryl A. Spitzer; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835, or to the Kootenai Humane Society, P.O. Box 1005, Hayden, ID 83835.

A Celebration of Sue's Life will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Sue's residence, 5296 W. Hedgewood, Post Falls. She would want everyone to live, love and laugh often!
