KHS: Board does an excellent job

In response to the article in the paper regarding the Humane Society dismissing the director:

There has been a lot of criticism of the Board of the Kootenai Humane Society, and it seems that quite likely it is based on misinformation. In all of the issues over the last few years, I have noticed that it seems like the KHS Board has been quite respectful and professional. I haven’t seen them airing any dirty laundry in the press, and I feel they should be respected for that. These people are helping to run a business on their own “free time,” and instead of the gratitude that they should be receiving, it seems quite the opposite.

I say kudos to the Board for not accepting mediocrity and holding their staff accountable for doing the job that they are being paid for (and being paid quite generously, it appears). I say a big Thank You to the Board for their management of my donations, and thank you for expecting results for your donors’ money.

Thank you to the Board of the Kootenai Humane Society, and to all the volunteers, for all your hard work and dedication. Please keep up the good work. Perhaps we all need to follow their lead and get out there and make a difference!
