Kent A. Giese, 56

Kent A. Giese, 56, of Post Falls, passed away on March 4, 2013.

Kent was born in Green Bay, Wis., on Sept. 17, 1956, moving throughout the Midwest during his childhood, and attending high school in Mason City, Iowa. As an adult, he lived in Denver, Colo., and Des Moines, Iowa, before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1985.

Kent worked in the retail automotive industry for most of his adult life, working for a number of local dealerships, before pursuing his own business endeavors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his son, Justin, and his family in Eugene, Ore. Kent was generous with both his time and resources and worked with many charitable organizations and was actively involved in and supportive of his wife Bonne’s nonprofit interests.

Kent is survived by his wife, Bonne; son Justin Giese and his wife, Melissa; and grandchildren, Courtney and Dylan of Eugene; stepson Chris Timmons and his wife, Jessica, and their children of Chicago, Ill.; brother James Giese and his wife, Jill of Denver; sister Linda Phoebus of Denver; numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Kent is preceded in death by both of his parents, James Giese and Donna Giese.
