TREE: It can't beat man, asphalt

As Doug Eastwood has stated several times, it is a wonder that our Freedom Tree has survived because it is surrounded by so much asphalt. The answer is simple. THE FREEDOM TREE PERSONIFIES THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO PLANTED IT.

The City is telling us the Freedom Tree “MUST” be destroyed. They should tell it like it is; it is only being destroyed because of THEIR plan for the under-street parking. Stop that non-cost-effective parking, and our tree would remain the meaningful, beautiful, and natural sight it is today. There would be no need for the arch that is planned in its place.
